Not only is it after midnight everywhere in the US, but after the site was expected to be down, there are currently 746 users online! WHAT??
Again, TIme editors, it's not to late to do a back up ----
knowing that Time/life has a long history of publishing great retrospective boooks, and CL/SL with food, I told them they should back up all this wealth of knowledge and usse it to creat a book. History as the onternet came of age -- bb and forums formed and gave birth to blogs -- as well as food and general knowledge shared at the virtual kitchen table. Knowing we have fooddies, cookbook junkies and wrters here, I even promised help doing it -- maybe for as little in exchange as a couple of copies of the book. So if they hit the pause button here and consider it, I may be looking for some help. LOL I don't know how many subscriberes are here (I could look, but I know it' a lot) , but Cookbook Junkies alone on FB has I think over 30,000 members. Not checking there either, so forgive me if my off the top of my head is wrong, but I know it is a lot and ever growing.
